The Masonry
Who doesn’t like pizza and beer? That was the rhetorical question posed by Matt Storm when The Masonry opened up in south Queen Anne near Key Arena. Featuring stone-oven fired pizzas made with expert care as well as award-winning microbrews from the area, they wanted a design aesthetic that got out of the way and featured their strengths. They asked for a logo that was clean and modern, in a single color, that didn’t focus on the pizza itself but the process by which they made it. The pizza oven became the final focus, with the pizza peel knocked out to highlight the food or brew behind it, and they loved the simplicity.
